I love the autumn, all those pretty colours as you drive along, the oranges and golds, that autumn smell. It always takes me back to walking to school and kicking through the thousands of sycamore leaves on the pavements (you don’t see them lying on the ground like that now do you?) Now, it reminds me, and I feel a bubble of excitement at the start of every September, as this was the month we took down the yurts on Cape Clear and packed them up for another season…then it was Holiday Time!!
