Sherkin North Shore is a new centre for island living and island learning being developed on beautiful Sherkin Island off Baltimore in West Cork. Kathy and Mike O’Connor are working to attract special interest groups to come together on the island, to enjoy their facilities, including a common room which can host groups for yoga, art, mindfulness, team-building, and any range of activities. The centre has comfortable accommodation for up to 42 guests, and can provide delicious and nutricious meals. Sherkin North Shore is perched right over Roaring Water Bay in a location that offers stunning sea views, and a variety of walks to the island’s 5 safe and sandy beaches. If you would like an interesting and relaxing break from your busy life, come to this quiet and beautiful island to refresh your soul, and to find time for yourself, your friends, and your family. This centre can be reached by a safe 15 minute ferry ride from Baltimore in West Cork. Each ferry is met on the Sherkin Pier by a minibus that can whisk you and your luggage directly to Sherkin North Shore for only 2 euro. Activities in the area include a local sailing school, deep-sea fishing and diving, chartered day trips on vintage sailboats, foraging, summer theatre on Sherkin, an island hotel and pub, nearby cooking courses, and many more developing initiatives.
