Home to The National Folk Theatre, it was established 50 years ago to sustain, explore and develop the traditional Irish arts of music, song and dance. The National Folk Theatre performances are unforgettable experiences, rich in colour, mesmerising music, song, storytelling, and thrilling Irish dance, immersing you in Ireland’s cultural and working traditions. It also offers engaging cultural experiences with local community performers. Trained in the unique Siamsa style (dating back to the 1700s), you can enjoy guided tours with personal insights into training, performing and touring with Siamsa Tíre, and get backstage access with photo opportunities in original stage costumes. You can also join National Folk Theatre workshops to learn Irish music, song and dance from the masters.
